Título

THE OTHER FACE OF HEALING. MAIN MUSCULOSKELETAL CHANGES AFTER CANCER TREATMENT IN ADULTS.

Introdução

Radiotherapy (RT) and chemotherapy (CTX) have important applications in curative and palliative therapy for a variety of malignant conditions. However, such therapies can determine musculoskeletal complications.
The purpose of this exhibit is:
1.To review RT and CTX induced changes in bone and soft tissue, including post-radiation bone marrow patterns, bone failure fracture, osteoradionecrosis, sarcopenia, brachial plexopathy, and radiation-induced bone and soft tissue neoplasms.
2.To illustrate the imaging findings of RT and CTX induced changes in the musculoskeletal system using cases from our institution.
3.To help recognize and differentiate characteristic findings related to RT and CTX of neoplastic diseases in oncologic patients.
